Will a regular Super 8 projector work for this?
I'm not sure if those projectors have outputs, do they?
Any help much appreciated.

You need to either get yourself a telecine unit - either through buying, renting or borrowing. It has a screen which gets projected on. You mount a camera to record off the screen. Super 8 has no sound, so that's not an issue. Then transfer the AVi file to your PC, edit, author and burn.
The other option is to send it to a place that'll do it for you - some drugstore film processing places, some film developing chains ...call around and get prices.
