Were those the + or - r ? I bought the a 5pk of -r, (Though 8x) and they turned out to be sony. I didn't scoop up the 100 or 200pk because the others were daxon and I hadn't heard much good about their quality.

Have yet to burn with the Sony's so I can't report on any success with them, but I was lead to believe they are of higher quality than the Daxon.

Do a search on Benq, there was another thread or two about it.

Just side track a little, Futureshop sold 50 pieces Memorex spindle at 24.99 during Labour Day week. I went 9/5 and they were all sold, I putdown a raincheck for 4 spindles, so far non quantity had been re-ordered and I went there to check at least once a week. Are these rainchecks for real?

No. Taxes extra. Still better than almost all Canadian(www.cty.com) retailers stocking Prodisc.

I've ordered Futureshop sale stuff with rainchecks before, and had to wait about 3 weeks to get it. If you don't need the item(s) right away it's an okay savings method.

  9. The BenQ disc DAXON AZ1 is +R. I use to buy memorex for future shop too, the are MCC i believe. I have some bad MCC lately, it usually freeze and pause at the end of the disc. So I am switching to DAXON AZ1 for now and see what happen in the long run.... Kodak from Futureshop are Prodisc, they are Ok too.
