  1. I have the Samsung dvd-hd931 player, as well as a Sony and a Philips dvd player that are older. I have been making dvd backups for about 2 years now, so I do know what I'm doing. I use DVD decrypter to rip, Ifoedit to split dvd, take just movie, etc. (I do not transcode the stream, if I can't get it on one disk than I spilt it to 2 and keep my extras.) Then I create an image using Imgtool and burn it back in DVD decrypter. My question is this: I always use Memorex dvd+rw media. Every disk I have ever made works on both the Sony and Philips dvd players. Most of the disks work on the Samsung but I do have a few that can't be read. I will put the disk in the player and the tv screen will say it's loading, then a box comes on saying it can't be read and to check the disk. The strange thing is that on one particular movie that I had to spilt, the 1st disk can be read but not the 2nd!? Considering it's burned with the same software tools, (not a different version for example) this is simply tripping me out! Does anybody out there have a possible reason for this dilemma?

i have a couple of hd931's and they can be a little fussy - though all the disks i create can read - but when people send me some, a few can not .. pretty rare though ..

the remote control and dvd player setup kinda sucks - picture is great to hd though, through dvi
