hi i have wide scree tv and i would like to connect my pc to it so i can watch DVDS i have power and win dvd. is it possible to ouput a dvd 16:9 with out the black lines. becasue i heard if i put it o pan and scan it will display like 4:3 movies so it will look strechetd out

i let this sit here for a few days and nobody came to your aid. here's your answer:
1. if the dvd is anamorphic:
on the screen tab of powerdvd configuration untick 'keep aspect ratio
on the display tab of windvd properties untick 'lock aspect ratio'
on your tv set it to 16:9 mode, or whatever mode stretches the picture evenly across the width of the screen.
2. if the dvd isn't anamorphic:
use the zoom mode on you tv to make the picture bigger.
when u bought your tv, how did u intend to use it? i can't belive u have a 16:9 tv and u don't know how to use it. what about the instuction manual? read that before u post questions here.
