I use Prodisc DVD-R which has the shiny silver top side. Can this be marked with a marker to help identify the DVD or is it not recommended? I was planning on putting adhesive labels on my DVD's but after reading here that it could cause the DVD to not play right, I was thinking of just marking them instead.
Opinions?

You can even buy ultra and extra fine markers, ones that write more like pens if you don't like the fat ones.
