  1. hi,

i have a couple of DV-tapes on which i have recorded a movie in 16:9 with my sony DCR-TRV 80E.

I have captured that 16:9 DV with Adobe premiere and i edited it also with premiere.

however, if i want to author my 16:9 movie , which software do i need?

I have already tried Pinnacle 8 and Ulead DVD MovieFactory BUT they do NOT support PAL 16:9 !!

Which software does support that? TMPEGEnc DVD Author?

    Thx,

    vcdmaker

Ulead Video Studio 8, Ulead DVD Workshop are two, not sure about TMPGenc Author.

Also consider DVD-Lab and DVD-Lab Pro (beta)

There's a way to do it with Moviefactory, There's a free tool called ifoedit on the tools menu. The ratio info is stored in the ifo file on a DVD. You can edit that info with ifo edit. You would have to create a DVD folder on your HD then edit the ifo file then burn to disc.

I haven't done it myself before but it's worth a try.

Well I transfer my DV using WinDV, then edit and convert to MPEG-2 with TMPGEnc XPress, and I always make 16:9 settings (my camera is anamorphic widescreen), and then if I author in TMPGenc DVDAuthor it automatically creates a 16:9 DVD, albeit the menus that you can make are limited with that.
