    can i encode a music dvd rip to svcd and enode each song seperately stopping and starting at exact frames and then import all of the mpegs into nero for the svcd and remove the pause after each track, would it play smoothly from one song to the next and could i use my next button on my dvd player to pik a song?

    Yes to everything except the transistion time. The seek time for each dvd loader is different, for the vast majority of dvd players there will always be a pause of about 2 to 3 secs at the least between tracks, even when the pause in nero is set to 0.

    The only way to do what you want is to create chapters. Read the guides for chaptering under the AUTHOR section. For svcds you can create chapters using vcdimager, Philips svcd designer, or I-Author. Vcdimager is free in the download section so start there, try getting TSCV to use as a gui to make it simpler.

  3. For a concert DVD which doesn't have any pause between each song. I will do like adam said. Rip the whole dvd then use VCDimager to create entrypoints (chapter) at each song. And with VCDimager you also get menu that you can choose to listen a song you want . Check out TSCV (GUI of vcdimager if you dont know how to author XML code).
