  1. I need to buy one of these usits for my job.There are so many..I thought maybe the Panasonic dmr-85hs or the Pioneer dvr-510hs.Either of these better then the other or is there another model out there I need to look at.Oh priced below $600

    I have the DVR-510H-S and think it is wonderful. It has been replaced by the faster DVR-520H-S at a lower price.

    I have the panasonic DMR-E80H and it is a wonderful unit and very easy to use ,it is an older model and I got it last christmas and its still chugging along.

  4. I would highly recommend the E85 (picture thumbnails, 4x dvd recording, record back to hdd w/ dvd-r although a re-encode is involved) Solid player. Check out pricegrabber.com for the best prices. Only draw back is that it doesn't have firewire in which I find convenient on my E100 (pricey though) for camcorder transfers. Good luck.
