  1. I recently formatted my computer and reinstalled windows xp pro (with the service pack 2 intergrated) and in the device manager, my dvd writer and dvd drive (liteon) shows that my drive only has 2 more region changing left (although it is region free).

Don't know why, but i changed my dvd rom to region 4, and now it says 1 more, so i went back to the dvd rpc tool (for liteon), and reseted the vendor and whatever, and then disabled it and reset my computer, but now it says 1 more change left and for dvd writer 2 more changes although they are both region free. (shouldn't the dvd rom still say 2 changes left?)

I rememeber when i installed the service pack 1 last time, it got rid of that region stuff when it was region free but now it doesn't. does anyone know why?

Thanks, it isn't that important but i juz want to know

because you need software to fool the operating system into becoming REGION FREE. download DVD REGION KILLER. use mirror 3 to download it. here's the link for it:

  4. Sorry, the reply didn't appear when i saw. anyway i already said that i had made my drive region free (using the ltn rpc utility off club.cdfreaks.com). I thought updating to windows service pack 2 would solve this problem (it did for service pack 1). i remember seeing somewhere that although the drive is region free, windows doesn't recognize it, but the service pack should fix it, or did service pack 2 go backwards while service pack 1 fixed it.
