I bought a PAL vcr off Ebay and it was listed as "CCIR PAL".
What is that all about?
I went ahead and got it....but having some problems viewing PAL tapes.
I'm taking the output through a Sima CT2 which supposedly auto detects PAL and will output to NTSC.
Seeing the scan blackout bar at top and alot of jerking in the picture.
CCIR? PAL VCR>>SIMA CT2>>DMR-E50>>NTSC TV

CCIR PAL is standard pal , not pal m

and I'm curious....."pal m" is?
Maybe the CT2 isn't giving me what I want.....I'm under the impression that it will automatically detect PAL format on the input......it has a pal/ntsc switch on the output.
So viewing on an NTSC TV shouldn't be a problem. (?)
