I am a beginer who likes to learn how to burn music video clips on a dvd. I tried with Nero Vision but the DVD does not work. Please help me with some advice. Your support will be very much appreciated.

I have files with different format: avi, mpg, wma. I tried to convert them in a single format (avi) and still it did not work. I want to make a dvd where I can see each video clip separate and I can flip through them like you do with an audio cd.

Unless you have a Divx DVD player, they would need to be converted to DVD compliant MPEG-2 and audio. For the DVD format and specifications, see 'WHAT IS' DVD to the upper left. Once they are properly encoded, then you author them to the DVD format. You can add menus, etc, at that point, then burn the compilation to a DVD.

There are guides available to the left also, under 'CONVERT' and 'AUTHOR'. There are also freeware programs in our 'Tools' section for both of these operations.

    And welcome to our forums.

If you have a lot of different formats, you might try SUPER and encode them all to MPEG-2 with either AC3 or MPEG-1, Layer 2 audio, following the DVD specifications. Or if you have lots of room on the DVD, you can use PCM audio.

You might want to add up all the run times of the videos and put that into a bitrate calculator (Look in 'Tools' to the left) to see what the suggested bitrate would be to fill the DVD. Then use that bitrate in your MPEG-2 encoder.

Then to author, the freeware program GUI for dvdauthor or DVDAuthorgui may be one way to go. You can arrange the videos as wanted and make a selection menu.

I've successfully used Nerovision to do this.

NeroSmartStart -> Photo & Video -> Make Your Own DVD-Video -> Add Video Files

OK. I'm back. I tried once again with NeroVision. It worked but from 18 videos, successfully burned, I can see only 11 of them. My DVD player does not recognize the rest of the pics( I have a Samsung DVD-P421). Anybody has an idea why ?
On my DVD burner on computer, I can see all of them and they seem to be fine, but on the DVD player it sucks.
Please give me a couple of hints. Thank you,

Hello again. I burned another DVD with music video clips and the same thing happens. I can see only 11 clips from all 14. On my burner, on computer, it is working fine. It is the second time when this happens. Anybody can help me with an explanation ? Thank you,
