I currently own a HP300n dvd writer. I have done somewhere around 200 dvd backups, without 1 single problem. I now see that HP has dual layer burner (HP DVD writer 530i). Has anyone heard good/bad things on it? It's only $99 or so, plus HP is one of the leaders of the DVD+RW ALLIANCE so I figure it should work just as good as my original?
My next question is, Right now I have a DVD-ROM & DVD writer in my PC. When I do buy a dual layer burner should keep both dvd burners in and take out the dvd-ROM or keep DVD-ROM and take out non dual layerd dvd writer? Not enough for all there in my HP Pavilion 7955 computer....
