    Does anyone know how to turn on the DMA function for a DVD rom drive under Windoze XP ?

    Send a message via ICQ to Shabubu Send a message via MSN to Shabubu
    Device manager>IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers>Primary IDE Channel>Properties>Advanced Settings (Turn on DMA if available)

    Then do the same for the secondary channel. If you have a VIA board you'll also need XTeq Setup (from ZDNet or somewhere) and activate the reg fix.
