I tried to copy a Hollywood Video DVD for future viewing, using DVD Shrink on my DVD-ROM. DVD Shrink echoed back that my drive was set to Region (?) for Japan, yet I am in the USA (Region 1). Since it said I only could change this 4 more times, I instead went to DVD Decrypter, which came up with gobs of errors. Maybe my computer was goofy the other morning, so I instead went back to DVD Shrink, the DVD this time being read by my HP 300n DVD burner, All seemed well now, except that it appeard to take much longer than usual (several hours vs the usual 1.5 hours) to compress and decrypt this DVD. Well, after the two folders and files were written (blank AUDIO_TS and populated VIDEO_TS folders, respectively), I went into Nero Express as I always do and added the folders into the template and double checked that everything was where it was supposed to be (e.g., only files were found in the VIDEO_TS folder). Everything looked normal, so I burned and verified. Again, what used to take about 18 minutes (at 2.4X +RW speed), now clocked in at about 24 minutes. No big deal, or so I thought, except that while the ORIGINAL DVD played back everything just FINE, my copy would not play back any audio!! Has anyone else ever had this happen (I think I might have experienced this in the past, but don't remember what caused it or how I solved it!). NOt having the time to wrack my brains any further, does anyone know off hand what the problem is and how to correct it??!! Thanks in advance for correcting a senior moment!!
