Hi
I am wanting to convert an vxid video into a dvd using dvd santa. Normally i have no trouble with this procedure but for one particular file dvd santa gave me an error message saying it couldnt open the video file. It plays fine in my media player. So i used gspot(and vdub) to look at the file information and it shoed that the video format is xvid 800*336.
Every other xvid format i have converted to dvd with dvd santa( and i have done about 20 now ) is usually a fair bit lower on the horizontal pixel format( ie. below the dvd format of 720 ). I am guessing that this is the reason santa won't handle it and that i should recompress it down a little.
So i have tried using Vdub to do this on a few different settings and also looked through a lot of forums for information about this. I can see in the Vdub compression configuration settings that it is the "Profile @ Level" that seems to affect this property but however i tweak it Vdub reproduces it in the exact same format.....Helppppppp plz
