  1. I’m making a small 3 min promotional DVD for somebody and I wanted to be able to uses some still images throughout. I have no trouble with the video but every time I add a still image it doesn’t show on the TV when played. I’m simply inserting a jpeg into my Pinnacle Studio 10 programme which works fine when previewed on my pc but not as I say on TV.
Does anybody know if I can do this? Should I be saving my images as something else?
Thanks for any advice that you might be able to offer here.
    Regards
    Brian

When I have images run in the DVD with video, I use Video Studio to add the images as part of the video.

  3. You could try Windows Movie Maker or TMPGENc Plus. Both can take still images and make clips out of them. Then just insert the stil where you need it in your video.

DVD Movie Factory also has a nice slideshow function. So does Nero Vision Express.

You need to convert a sequence of jpeg files into a single avi file then convert it to mpeg2 for DVD.
With Premiere Pro you can place your photos on the timeline and output it as either mpeg2 or avi. You can fade one photo into another and control the amount of time a photo remains before fading into the next photo. In Premiere Pro 1.5 the defult is 150 photos but that number can be raised in the prefrences dialog.
