Was wondering if any of you Plex 708 owners have tried these discs? I have been using the 4X which I bought from Rima.com with great success but now they only have the 8X. I am only interested in comments for the +R version not the -R version as + is all I use. Price from Rima is $48 plus shipping for 100 discs which seems competitive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated before I order these. Thank you.

I bought 200 from supermediastore.com and out of about 40 so far I;ve had to bad burns with some skips. I burn either on NEC 2510 DL 8x Internal drive on my External Firewire SONY DRU 530UL. I think these two bad burns were isolated instances as I was experimenting with various burning programs. I have since been getting perfect burns with DVD Shrink to ISO and burn directly with DVD Decrypter and or Copy 2 DVD to any of the drives. Both seem to work without a hitch. Decrypter is however FREE!

My R300 seems to print very nice on them but they just aren't as vivid as when I print on Memorex Printable CDs. If only they had their suface, they would be pretty perfect.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

jtoolman2000 thank you for the reply. Have you played around with the Epson settings to see if you can get a better print or more vivid print with these Prodiscs? If so I would be interested in knowing your settings. Thanks and have a great day.

I have 100 of the "PRODISC R03" 8X DVD+R media, recently purchased from SuperMediaStore. These are silver tops, not the white inkjet printable. Today I received my new Liteon 1213s, so I can now post Kprobe results. I burnt one disc in the Liteon, two in the Pioneer 108, and one in my Nec 3500. The results are posted here:

All I can say is, "Don't use this media in a Pioneer 108 drive."

nice work henry. I like how you've set that up.

NEC 3500 at newegg for only $88 seems like a pretty good deal.
