  1. I have a vobsub file which is out of sync in various places probably because it's not the same framerate as the avi. I wish to convert it to srt
which I can then import to subtitle workshop to correct it.

This is what I do. I open subresync in Vobsub using the idx file and save as srt file. A box pops up asking to enter matching letter. Incredibly it asks to enter the whole text of the sub!!!. This can't be the right way.

What should I do when the box pops up? Is there another way?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

  2. It could be Optical Character Recognition (OCR). If it's converting subpictures to text, it merely asks you to "teach" it to see a letter and then convert it to the correct letter of the alphabet. It won't ask you to type the entire movie, just only when it encounters a letter it doesn't yet recognize. It always screws up lowercase L's and and uppercase I's. Subrip has a feature to correct it. Anyway, enjoy.
    Happy to be here.
