    Im trying the program TMPGEnc and im not shure what i am doing but i was sent a dvd home movie from a friend by mail when i recieved it did the movie file is on a dvd cd written as a data cd.I just found out that the movie is pal and i know it wont play in my dvd player.Whats the easyest way to convert the movie file and get it nero ready to burn.

    The file is a avi divx encoded.
    Its 682megs

    What i dont want to do is loose quality if possible.

    Can someone help a friend in need

    I just used this method to covert a pal dvd to ntsc dvd and it worked for me my player wouldnt read the pal dvd but after I did this method and burned it, it played in the player!

    Long, hard, complicated method based on re-encoding from PAL DVD to NTSC DVD (not that hard or complicated if familiar with the programs):
