OK, I've about had it with Toast's third world support, updates that require a complete re-install, and other failures, but for burning DVD's, what else is worth even bothering with?
Seems most of the burning solutions out there can handle data fine, but backing up a DVD not so good...any ideas?

Toast has been flawless for me for backing up, 'cept the time I burnt a VIDEO_TS folder as Mac/PC disc instead of a UDF
. I've converted and captured DV directly in Toast to DVD/CD and burn all my audio CDs through it. The only thing I don't really do is drop previously encoded mpegs into it and use it for authoring (some had problems with it re-encoding back in .0.1), I do it outside and drop the TS folders into the Data tab.
All in all I think Toast is the best you can get.
