any way to put WMV files on a VCD?

is there? TMPGE refuses to open it, Virtua Dub refuses to open it, Ulead refuses to open the file also, so how can i open it to edit it, or convert it to a format that VCD Easy will allow me to create into a VCD?

winavi video converter have you tried it to convert yet,it will convert almost any file to another format

Avisynth will allow you to open wmv files, check the guides and the website. AvsVideoConverter is about $30 US and will convert the files directly to vcd files. I have used the Avs product for over a year and recommend it for video file conversion. Nyah Levi

i found out what the problem is, i got an error message when trying win movie maker that says "wmv is protected using digital rights management and cannot be imported." i guess there is no legal way around this...

tmpgenc will open WMV files, but you may have to adjust the directshow reader priorities.

If it's got DRM though, you ain't gonna have much luck.

You can convert the wmv to avi so that TMPGENC will recognize it. You can convert the file quickly and easily with the freeware Stoik Video Converter:
