  1. First Kelly Holmes does a brilliant double by cruising the 1500m to add to her 800m title and then we beat the yanks at the mens 4x100m relay. Unbelivable.

What kind of a man are you? The guy is unconscious in a coma and you don't have the guts to kiss his girlfriend?

Have you noticed that the coverage makes it look like the US has won the gold in every event except basketball?

Yes. They do tend to get caught up in the frenzy don't they? It's why I've watched very little of the olympics so far.

So has the rest of the world. Notice all the empty seats?

Yes. It seems to be emptier than other olympics. However, someone here a few days ago said that every olympics in recent years had many empty seats, but I don't ever remember noticing, so it must not have been as obvious as this year. A shame.

  8. Did you guys know that Michael Johnson was commentating for the BBC. Just wondering why he chose to commentate for the BBC rather than a US network. What an awesome runner he was.

Sydney also had pretty empty stadiums until they started giving away tickets.

I also thought it was a shame the U.S. Basketball team is missing so much of its talent.

I hate this whole time delay thing. Right now on MSNBC they're showing the Argentina vs. Paraguay soccer game in the second half. On Telemundo, they got the same game in the first.

Just watched part of the bronze medal basketball game between USA and Lithuania. USA blew. Lithuania was killing them with the 3-pointers from the next time zone, and the USA players were missing so many easy shots. Definitely not the Dream Team. Maybe the "Creamed Team" :P

Yes, but the Americans were such a huge favourite in that event, it was one hell of an acheivement to win, whatever the margin.

Yes it was, not trying to ake anything away from them. I just thought it was a good race. The close ones are always fun.
