    I can't flash nec2500a dvd-r
    it says drive not reconised properly
    any help thanks...

    Flash it in DOS.

    You need the DOS flash utility.

    How is your drive installed. The most success seems to be when the drive is the master on the second IDE channel. I have mine configured like this, and recently successfully flashed it with the modified 2510a firmware from windows.

    Ihave 2 of these drives and i have done a flash on the other 1 with no problem at all
