  1. I wanted to take a picture snapshot of a particular frame in the avi or mpg file.

Which is the best software to get a picture shot?

    Any menu navigation?

    Thanks

  5. Personally, I like to open the VOBs or M2V file in DVD2AVI, then arrive to the frame I want to grab, then I hit Printscreen and paste the grab into an image editor of my choice.

  6. I open the file in VirtualDub and do an Alt+PrintScrn and drop it into MS Photo Editor or Paint.

  8. I got a solution. I opened the mpg or avi file with sonic sound forge, and in the video display there is a copy frame on right click. Paste it is photoshop to make psd (good quality, indeed).

    Thank folks for your responses.
