you wouldn't believe the large amount of illegal copies on VCD of
movies that I found here. You can find them in markets, in the streets,
and even in stores. You can watch movies on VCD that are still on
theaters or even have not come yet to this country, even more, you can watch movies that are made only for certain movie networks, such as HBO's movie about Pancho Villa starring Antonio Banderas.
Obviously, I don't want you to tell me how to get illegal movies, I
just want you to please tell me in general terms how in the world these people are getting them, it is a question that has been in my head since I saw this things for the
    first time.

    There are a few ways:

    1. A person brings a camcorder into a theater and records the movie (they may even plug into the "hearing impaired" jack to get pretty decent sound). They then convert to VCD/SVCD/DVD.

    2. Rip from DVD, convert to VCD.

    3. Record shows from HBO or Pay-Per-View, then convert to VCD.

To add on to number 1, there's also screener DVDs with very high quality (that can be converted to HQ-VCDs. On top of that, some theater managers do a direct copy themselves.

Those are some cheap pirates. All of the pirated DVDs I sell are burnt in the DVD format, region free and I only use top notch NG or Princo media :P
