I was at Sam's Club this morning and was surprised to see the Epson R200 for only $90.87. That's the cheapest I've seen it in my home town. It's about $10.00 cheaper than CompUsa. I'm a bit hesitant in purchasing one with all the posts I've seen in here regarding some of the problems. The one problem I've read about is the cd/dvd tray is weak. There have been many who've had the printer replaced for a new one. My question is how was the unit replaced. Was it by Epson or the store or online store where you purchased it from? I'd appreciate any comments. Thanks in advance!![]()

You kind of missed the boat. Office depot had these a while back with a $50.00 reabte(which I just got). You can also use a coupon for whatever.. 10 off 50 or 15 off 75 or 20 off $75.00, look around for these, for office depot and maybe staples as well. Try fat wallet or slickdeals.
I had mine replaced for that very same problem and got a rapid replacement form Epson...of course the tray prob surfaced again. No biggie though, for $20.00 I'll live with it -

Are Prodisc printables decent media to use? I have a Plextor 708a, Pioneer 107d and a Liteon 411s@811s burners. I see at rima.com the Prodisc printable DVD-R is cheap. -
Hello
As to your question about Prodisc. There have been numerous posts on these discs. I have burned over 350 with no problems on the following dvd drives--Pioneer 105, Pioneer 107, and a Panasonic Lf-D521.
I have had no problems with disc compatability or disc play errors. For me, these discs are more reliable and stable than Ritek. Hope this helps.
regards

Heya - just to let you know, CompUSA currently has a $10 MI Rebate on these printers, as well as 20 free pieces of photo paper, and a $10 gift card.

Budz - Epson has fantastic customer service. They normally overnight a brand new printer in most circumstances, and actually have a pickup arranged for someone to pick up your old printer, so you dont have to worry about shipping.

Newegg has a special on this printer going right now. Its $83 with free shipping. I just ordered one. I really don't need a whole printer, just something to print disks, but at this price I can't resist.
