  1. OK, I have tried many many times to make a working VCD menu with Nero. every time I do it seems to do well it burns with no problem then when i try to play the video on my Computer it seems that the menu is not a menu but a graphic that just sits there. as in i can click on any part of the screen to get it to play the video!!! I would like to know if anyone else has had this problem and if so how they solved it. also is this a problem with the DVD player software I use?? i use WinDVD 3.0 and WinDVD 2000. Also i have no access to a standalone DVD player

    Hi,

I am just getting a picture on my DVD player. Is there anything to get the menus working?

    Regards,

  5. I have the same problem. I make a VCD with a Menu in Nero - am trying to play it with WinDVD 2.0. No joy, just the WinDVD front screen. If I ask WinDVD to play the individual movie file, it plays fine. So the Menu does not work.

I think Nero is creating the Menu etc correctly and this is a problem with the WinDVD player.

Same problem with Slide Shows. It seems that the Menus and Slide Show Photos are stored in the SEGMENT directory, which seems to be ignored by WinDVD.

I read that WinDVD plays SVCDs with Menus. Is this the problem? WinDVD will not play a VCD with a Menu?
