  1. I have already searched the forum, but the general impression I get is that the Supermediastore has a better reputation and provides better service than Meritline.

Anyone want to disagree? Anyone have any problems with the Supermediastore?

  3. I'd choose Rima over both. They guarentee same day shipping if ordered before 12 pst and they don't inflate shipping prices.

  4. supermedia store and meritline are one company. if you need evidence go to www.linkyo.com click on either dvd-r or dvd+r and read the description where it says meritlines polishing or whatever. of course linkyo is branded as supermediastores premium brand or something

  5. Meritline's unique inkjet coating guarantees astonishing results. Besides vivid colours, your prints will have exceptionally sharp resolution and precise image definition.
this is taken from their products dvd-r description.. and if you go to theri faq at www.linkyo.com where to buy you will see supermediastore listed as the place to buy

    then maybe supermediastore
    NEVER meritline.

simple test, call them see who actually answers their phone.

Wait untill you get fake media or the wrong order or never get your order from meritline...the same...well, NOBODY will will be happy to help you.

  8. Based on what I have read and seen, I went with Supermediastore.

After spending some time researching media, it seems that Ritek G04 will work fine in a DRU-510A. I ordered 100 DVD-R for a net price of 47, which is considerably cheaper than Sam's Club for blank media.

If something happens with my order, I will be able to dispute the charge with my credit card.

  9. I thought there were even more problems with the Ritek Shiny finish discs for some reason? Isn't it better to get the matte finish on those? or has that changed?
I switched to ProDisc anyway, after all the posts of bad Ritek's being out there. Haven't had a bad Prodisc... so I'll stick with them. BTW: I never had a "bad ritek" either but there were visable flaws/blemishes on many of them... and then others started reporting problems with them.

  10. Never had a problem with meritline whatsoever.
Look, let me explain something. I'm not Mr. Lebowski; you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. That, or Duder. His Dudeness. Or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing--

  11. I am new in the dvd media market, so i placed order at all these websites you guys mentioned here. Among all, meritline shipped me the media fastest, and their discs are great. Supermedia is slow, Rima has some scratched discs. maybe it is my luck, but when i call to order, only meritline got a human being to answer the phone.

  12. I don't have any complaints with either meritline.com or supermediastore.com...

I much prefer rima.com when possible.

I probably spent $2000 at Meritline on orders, and haven't had an issue that wasn't resolved to my satisfaction. However, I haven't bought anything from them lately since their shipping charges to Canada are just far too high.

However, supermediastore and meritline are NOT the same company. They have two different locations. The only reason some people get them confused is that a couple years ago supermediastore had some sales agreement through meritline, but they haven't had any dealings lately. (none I've heard of anyway)

    Regards,

    Savant

NewEgg and RIMA are two stores I would highly recommend.

SuperMediaStore has a better reputation. Because of the bad things being said about Meritline around here, I would not recommend buying anything there, and for that reason, I myself never have.

Both are excellent. No real problems to complain about, both are stand-up companies that fix mistakes when they happen.

  16. I've ordered from both meritline and supermediastore without any problems with service or product. I've not had any problems, so I can't comment on customer service or who answers phones. (i've only ordered online).

I recently bought 100 pack of prodisc from SMS. i'm through 50 and only made two coasters. This seemed to happen after I upgraded my version of ELBY CLONE DVD. so I went back to older version and haven't had problem since.

Meritline has a good selection of many different brands. Rima has good prices but not the best selection. Supermediastore is OK too ...not great but not bad. I've had no problems with any of them.

  18. I once ordered from cdrdvdrmedia.com & my cookie from meritline came up. They must have a few websites with the same stuff.
