    I dont even know if this is the right place, but it does sort of relate to video help. Hi, I try opening a WMV file and just before it opens it , its gives me this :


    I cant open any type of file in WMP. Can anyone help me?

    That error message could mean absolutely anything. if you click on the thing that says 'to see what data the error report contains' it should give you alittle more info.
    also, this thread might do better in the computer forum.

    If you can open other files in WMP then I would hazard a guess to say that the WMV you are trying to open could be corrupted. There is a program in the tools section called "ASF Indexer" (I think). This can fix header problems and the like with ASf or WMV files.
    If in doubt, Google it.
