Wanted to let you folks know that I have succesfully burned 4 or 5 Prodisc S03's at 12x on my new Pioneer DVR-108. I did install Nils hacked firmware for the drive to enable 12x burning for this media (I actually could try 16x but most people are reporting failures at that speed).
I burned full movie ISO's to disc using DVD Decrypter selecting 12x. I then had Decrypter verify the burn and also ran Nero CD/DVD speed to check for bad sectors. All was clean.
What is funny is I was having problems burning ISO's with the same discs at 4x on my Pioneer A05.
I have tried one Ritek G04 and did a clean burn at 12x as well.
Time of burns was about 6-7 minutes. Much nicer than the 15 mins I was getting with my A05. Plus the 108 rips both regular DVD's and DVD-r's at 12x. A big time saver for me.
