    Our local (participating) Blockbuster is offering a $1.99 rentals (VHS and DVD) throughout August. They mailed a "use as many times as you want" card to our house a week or so back. Check and see if your local blockbuster is participating.

    Fine print says any VHS or DVD.... So I would assume new releases... but the recent ones I've rented have been out for a while.

    Yeah, they did that for me once. Odd thing was, it was soon after a new video store opened nearby

    i got one of those, 3 mos. ago..$1.99 dvd or vhs rental for a month,great savings at least for a month.
