  1. I have dvd-r burned on PC when I insert dvd in my mac it shows the icon of dvd but inside there is no video or audio folder so I cant view or burn it

    could it possibly be a +r disk?
    when it mounts, what is the name of the disk?

  4. no it is a dvd-r media TDK 1-4x,it mounts normal dvd icon and the name is record er???? and in get info it says that is a full dvd with 4 gb on itbut when I open the icon there is nothing in there and apple dvd player cant play anything,but it works fine in my home dvd player on tv

  5. I have seen this before from PC burned DVD's, it has todo with the fact that some PC software aren't burning and encoding a dvd as it should be. A simple example is dvdbackup for PC it also places a file called backup on it's root without you even know it, and some dvd players than fail to play those dvd's.

  7. Try looking at the disc through the Terminal. Have the DVD mounted and open the Terminal and type (without the quotation marks) "cd /Volumes/DVDName". Then type "ls" to see if it recognizes anything inside. If it does and it is unencrypted you can copy the folders over to your Mac. Type "cp /Volumes/DVDName/VIDEO_TS /Users/yourusername/Desktop/VIDEO_TS" and see if you can burn that.
