  1. Ok here is my situation.

I have this dvd which is in foreign language. And i have a vcd that have the language that i would like.

So as i was trying to remux the dvd, i ran into a couple of problem. First of all i was using Adobe Audition to remux the sound. But then Adobe audition does not take mpeg-2 sound from the dvd video. So then i have to convert it to mpeg-1 to match up the sound to the vcd version. It was successful to made an .wav/.mp3 of the final sound that is need to put into the dvd.

but now i dont know how to put it in, i try to use tmpgenc author to authorize my dvd. I import video and sound file, but then they won't accept the .mp3 file. So then i use besweet to convert it to .ac3. After that i try to reauthor it back into dvd. With the original mpeg-2 and the new .ac3. But after it finish compiling i found out on my dvd player that.

    1. The picture are laggin
    2. There are no sound.

so its a complete lost. Can some one please show me the light. Thanx you.

at first, i'm not sure all the conversions you made sould be necissairy.
but i think the problem is that vcd needs 44 khz while dvd has 48 khz. so the audio might have to be converted. (i suggest using tmpegenc for this)

Just use the force sample rate option in BeSweet when your convert the MP2 to AC3. Tick the checkbox, select 48000 from the dropdown menu, then set your bitrate on the AC3 options page and then fire it off. Should spit out an AC3 file that will work with your DVD. You'll most likely have to fiddle with offseting the streams when you remux them to get it sync'd right, which depending on your source could turn into a nightmare all in itself. Good place to start is to open the source video and the source audio in VirtualDubMod and pull up the file info & compare stream lengths. If there's a difference, start with that as your offset and just hope it's not a progressive sync issue.
