  1. Hello, i'm frustrated beyond belief. I'm trying to convert an xvid to dvd so i can use in my dvd player. I'm using tmpgenc 2.5 and first i just tried using the basic wizard to create the mpg video turned out great but no sound! So i went searching and found that the audfio is ac3. And there has been many others with this problem. Ok so i try the common method using virtualdub , besweet, and headach3e, i converted the audio to a wav. Then i took the .avi for the video and the new wav for the audio and still no sound. So i thught hmmm ok maybe the avi should not be used for the video maybe i take the wav and then pull out just the video and multiplex them together. problem here was that whhen i tried to put the wav in the multiplex audo location i got unsupported exception. So am i close anyone care to help me out please!

just keep the files you got after converting. when in an authoring program, if you select the video, it will automatically load the audio too, and play them together

some authoring tools requires multiplexed sources, but some works as you mention.
