    I tried many things I saw in many places (remove RAM, remove USB card, remove other cards, etc etc). Nothing worked.

    I reformatted the drive as FAT32 instead of NTFS.

    This system does not need large files (4GB+) so not a big deal. For most people, it won't be.

    Done deal.

  2. My problem is that the drive is already FAT32. I am going to try to reinstall windows XP and see what happens.
