    ...but I installed memory (RAM) drunk...it was quite an effort, considering that I have only every installed RAM once before. I anyway, now I have 256 sim and 512 sim...hope this gets me by for a while, it cost me 86 bucks AMERICAN for 512MB sim...

    Gonna get DOOM 3 soon...preparing for that!!

    no...in a 486...dont make fun!!

    Seriously though, I was so worried about buying the RAM. I went in kinda blind...I took a guess at what kinda RAM my mobo took, by checking the online manual. Got it right, thank god!! Anyway, now I just have to wait till DOOM 3 comes to Japan, wonder when that will be...

    Sorry sorry...gotta catch up on my PC lingo...but yeah, the same speed. Didn't notice much of a change last night...but then again I was a a weee bit tipsy

    You really wont notice much until you get a few apps running at the same time... then, when swapping apps, it won't take forever and you wont be slammin' your hard drive.

    Yeah...I was kinda hoping that the extra would also help with the slow startup I have. I notice that everytime I do a format, and I install everything, it starts to slow down my startup after install NORTON. DAMN...need my NORTON though...

    I'm wondering where I can get a 1gig DDR PC-2100 Dim with aluminum cooler, for under $80. I used to be able to get some, but now everywhere is like $120 (without a cooler/heatsink) at the cheapest, and that's not including the shipping.
