  1. Hi everyone,

I bought a nice ATI AIW 9200 video card a month ago only to find out that I don't have a AGP slot in my computer. So now I am aiming for a ATI Radeon ALL-IN-WONDER 128PRO 32MB PCI capture card. Does anyone know what chipset they use? Do they use the old Brooktree/Conexant chipset? Can anyone send me a less than 5 second video clip so I can get the idea how well the card is? Also, what's the difference in terms of video capturing compared to AIW 9200? Thanks a lot!!!

You mean AIW Rage 128 Pro 32M. I got two of them (AGP though), as well I got the AIW 9200. No, they use Rage Theater chipset. The quality of Mpeg2 captured from Rage 128 32MB is good. Not sure the PCI version.

Capture quality is dependent on system performance with this card. Theater Mode is a plus, as it will allow you to output previews to a TV while you edit, at least with Ulead Mediastudio Pro. Only downside to getting the card could be driver support. Make sure it has full driver support for your OS.

Yes, they use a Brooktree Bt828, if I remember correctly.
Your miserable life is not worth the reversal of a Custer decision.
