Did you add anything recently? any changes? It sounds normal to me. Have you checked elsewhere for help?

Russ, maybe this will explain it to you, to save time I copied it from another website so I can't claim credit for all of it.

    Connection Limit
    -Max Connections
This is the maximum allowed number of TCP/IP and UDP connections.
Connections are only opened if there is data transfer in progress, for search and queue requests or Client to Client Source Exchange.
Altering this value is normally not necessary, except on Windows 98/ME, where you should not set this value any higher than 100.

    Note:
"Too many connections" in an expanded download means that the limit of new connections has already been reached. These sources are "on queue" and will be processed as soon as new connections are opened.

    Max Sources Per File
    -Hard Limit
Hard Limit is the maximum number of sources allowed for a file. If this limit is reached eMule stops accepting sources for this file.

    Asked For Another File:
You can see this message when you're trying to download two files from the same user. It's not possible to get these two files at the same time from this user because eMule will queue for only one file. That's why A4AF exists.

For example: You're waiting for the file A in the queue of a user but also want to download file B from the same user.

When you double-click on file A in the transfer window a list appears. This list shows all sources for file A. Sometimes one of these sources has no queue rank but shows instead the message A4AF. This means you already requested from the same user file B in addition to A. If you don't change anything about that eMule will complete file B and then the source will be switched to file A.

eMule gives you 3 options in the context menu that allow you to influence these sources displayed with A4AF:

Note: It's necessary to activate "Show more controls" (Preferences > Extended Settings) if you want to make use of the following options.

First option: Swap all sources to this file now

Situation: You have A4AF sources in the queue for file A because these sources are already used for file B.
Command: Executing this command will ask every client that is A4AF for you to queue now for file A and not anymore for file B. This results in more sources for file A but in less sources for file B.
Remember: The A4AF sources didn't disappear. They were just switched and are now shown in the expanded list for file B.

Second option: Swap all sources to any other file now

Situation: You have many sources for file B but also request the files A/C/D/E from the same user group.
Command: This order will swap all sources away for file B to the files A/C/D/E where they were declared as A4AF until now.

Third option: Automatically Swap all (A4AF) Sources to this file now

Situation: Take a look at the first option.
Command: eMule will execute the swaps automatically for you.
Remember: This option should only be applied to a small number of files. If this option is applied for too many files it can happen that the A4AF are just being switched all the time.
