I recently aquired an early release of the Star Wars Trilogy on dvd. This is not a Laser Disc rip, this is the real deal. I even made some comparison screens to the LD version I have. But I have no where to post them, if someone wants me to e-mail them the photos so they can put them up, I would be glad too.
The video is excellent, what you would expect from a DVD, but the colors are a little off. Too much blue. Just wait till I can get the screens up.
The Audio was not that impressive, there is a Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 surrond tracks. Honestly the 2.0 mixed in Pro Logic 2 sounds better than the 5.1 track. Just wasn't enough seperation in the channels. I hope the final version is better. In fact, my LD with 2.0 PCM audio sounds better than both. Thats not to say its bad, just not that great.
(BTW) The only one I have had the chance to watch is The Empire Strikes Back. If you have any questions about the movie I would be glad to answer.

Troll has taken the images down because the disks are bootlegs,so If anyone else wants to host them, just ask me to e-mail them to you. I also scanned a little of A New Hope, and Greedo still shoots first (damn).
