.VOB file to DVD

Hey guys,

I have a .VOB file I recovered from a DVD Camcorder disk that wouldn't finalize using ISOBUSTER. I would like to use just that .VOB file and create a complaint DVD. Can someone suggest a quick and easy solution.

Hello,
Yes:

Make a video_ts folder.
Put the .vob in it.
Burn the video_ts folder.
Walla! It's ready to go.

This WILL NOT MAKE A MENU!! It's quick and dirty (and will autoplay). If you want to skip the middle man do the folder trick.

Cool - thanks - i will give this a shot.

Have any idea if dvdshrink will recognize the new dvd if I want to use it in a compilation project?

Actually I am not sure that will quite work. I would download IFOedit and let it creat new IFO files for it, then put it into a video_ts directory with the ifo files and then burn. However just the VOB idea make work I just have never gone to try it.

IFOEDIT can be found in the tools section of this web site. Just gotta love dvrhelp.com

rename it to VTS_01_1.VOB and use IFOEdit to create new IFOs for it. If the VOB file is over 1GB in size it is probably wise to then run the output through VOB Extras in IFOEdit, so that it can split the VOB into 1GB files.

Throw all these files into a VIDEO_TS folder and burn.

That's probably a good idea. The video_ts folder is great for quick formatting. I've read in other posts its probably better to have several smaller vobs than one HUGE vob. Thanks for the catch. I don't use IFOEDIT much so I'm no expert there.
