Each MP3 file is read as several separate files, each about 33 seconds in length. This is very annoying as each selection has several pauses. I used Magix MP3 Maker Gold to encode the files from CD's at 128Kb/s. The CDR was written using an HP at 2X speed--its fastest.
I contacted Sanyo help twice (no easy task), the first time I was told to exchange the unit. I did -- same problem. The second time I was referred to the dvddemystified site and I ended up here.
Can anyone help me with the following:
1) How can I tell if the problem is with the player, or with my files?
2) If the problem is with my files, exactly what software and settings will generate files that the player will read correctly?
If I can't fix this problem I will keep the player anyway as it is very good as a DVD/CD/CDR player and also cheap.
