I'm guessing it's because you posted more than once in multiple sections of the forum.
You could always PM him or failing that post in feedback (as you have done) but I'm guessing he's too busy to worry about this kind of petty shit.
My advice...
....accept the warning when it's deserved, move on and in thirty days PM baldrick and tell him you love him, tell him you plan to donate a small amount to the site for all you've learned for free, tell him you've learnt only to post one topic once and could you please have the stain on your character removed.

You posted the same question in more than one forum.

Guys i was asking about overcoming a problem using different methods . If i was intentionally asking the same question the second time round in a different section wouldnt i just copy and paste? I feel as if i have been penalised for my lack of knowledge , and inability to interperate what the exact problem is with certain audio/video formats. I feel upset that i have received warning when to my knowledge have been following the rules.

when to my knowledge have been following the rules.
salad was the tastiest. Would you stick your hand in each bowl
and grab some of each, just to make sure? Because that is
what you did by posting similar questions in a number of forums.
Think about it.

i didn't have to dig real deep when i read this in his "BAD" post
You are in breach of the forum rules and are being issued with a formal warning. One topic is enough.

let us see how many more posts we can get on this thread to say the same thing :P"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650)

@ phatsuperakuma
Regardless, you broke the rules. In some other forums you
may have been flamed or evicted. It may seem harsh but
in some circumstances a first mistake can not be excused
because of the shear number of new posters to this forum.
@ BJM
I think Will meant that it was unnecessary to reply as
he had already answered the fellow. As for phatsuperakuma,
full details were likely to moved to the closed
section which I can't be bothered looking into myself.
@ indolikaa
phatsuperakuma asked a legitimate question in the correct forum.
Please refrain from flaming.

I find that Baldrick has a strange standard. He can't stand someone posting the same question in several forums, but yet puts up with all the foul langauge?
Personally, I think it should be the other way around. This board is more like a LINUX board. Too much flaming and bad language and not much help.

Cross-posting has always been against etiquette and has always been unwelcome here.
Need I remind you that membership here is voluntary. If you don't like the rules, then don't post. If you break the rules, expect to be warned or banned.
