Hello-
If I buy: Lite On 8x Internal Double-Layer DVD±RW/±R/CD-RW Drive (Mfr# SOHW-832S) and edit home movies and burn them on to
Double Layer DVD. Will the DVD play in all DVD players? or I should stick with the Single DVD-R burning format?
Thanks for your help.

I doubt there's a DVDR (single or dual layer) anywhere that'll play in EVERY DVD player.
However, Compatibility as well as cost is a big barrier to dual layer according to everything I have read. Unless there is a very good reason I would stick with single layer until the price decreases and compatibility increases for dual layer. -
Someone posted a list of what players play it.
But don't be confused with pressed double layer dvds you get at the store which play in every player. They aren't the same as our double layer ones. -
With bit setting you MIGHT be able to play it in a majority of players.
CDRLabs.com has posted their review today.
