I've noticed that my new status here has resulted in some ...mistrust and ....bitterness. I want to let all my fellow post whores know nothing has changed. Really. I'm still the same morally bankrupt, midget clown porn-watching, sheep-shagging vinyl goat-****** I was before.

The only thing that has changed is that now I can "help with the chores". I wanted this and asked for it because I was getting in a rut with some of the same old posts, regurgitated threads, and familiar whines. And I haven't even been here very long

I asked to be a mod because I want to help with the work. I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of this place and I want to give something back. I know ... I can hear the outraged cries of "ass kisser" already, but that's not what it's about. It's about a fair balance. I've spent an awful lot of time here, posted an inhuman amount of text in a rather short time. For a reason. I like to do things in a big way, and get the most out of it. I felt my satisfaction level dropping because the OT-only posting was becoming routine, and unchallenging. The other forums seemed to be covering technical challenges I've already overcome, and there was a repeating trend there as well.

Being a moderator seemed to be the next logical step for me. I was getting bored. I needed more stimulus and a new challenge. Heck, once you get elected post whore president, what else is there? Only one thing.

Capmaster and myself wanted to practice the warning system, so we tested it on each other to avoid concerning anyone else. I am the one who moved it to the closed topics - again, I was practicing. It worked.
