DVP642/17 problem (No Disc)

i have problem with my dvd player it`s can`t play any dvds disc but can play a divx and vcd . when i buy it . it`s work fine when i put the dvd disc he till me (No Disc) what can i do . please help .

I use to have a dvd player that did't want to play original pressed disc. The disc would spin for a few minutes or more than I would get the "no disc" message. What worked for me was to keep loading the disc until it reconized it. I tried a dvd cleaner but it didn't work. The funny part of it was that I never had a problem with disc I burned. I finaly got tired of it and bought a new player.

Try unplugging the unit from the wall for 5 minutes then plug back in and use again. If the movies play well in other DVD players then that indicates that the problem is with your unit. A firmware upgrade is a possible fix for this problem.

maybe you should update the firmware to the dvp642/42 so you can play presed DVD's and play divx with subtitles
