I'm trying to edit my VHS home movies. I have a VHS to DVD recorder that is not part of computer. I've copied several tapes to DVD. Apparently they were copied as .VOB files. I edit using Pinnacle Studio 8 which apparently only recognizes .AVI or .MPEG1 or 2 files. I would REALLY appreciate direction on how to go about converting the files I have so that I can edit them in Studio 8. I saw some of your archived topics, but still am confused. Could someone please simplify? Thank you so much for your time!!![]()

Thanks... I started by checking out DVD ripper but I had to choose from Mirror 1, Mirror 2...Mirror 7 and wasn't sure which one to download. So I went to check out Smart Ripper, but there was this scary disclaimer that it was illegal to download it if I lived in the US - which I do. I'm only trying to edit home movies, however, it just said that it was illegal to download it - period. So if I go back back to DVD ripper, do you know which "mirror" I want to download?? Thanks again for your time!!!!!!
