Admittedly, but let's go with it anyway...
Got some not-very-good VCDs yesterday, quality ok but could be a lot better. Is it possible to improve the quality by, say, pulling the files onto HDD and using a prog to re-encode/improve, then burn to DVD?
I know, it's probably a stupid question without enough info, but anyone who can help will earn my undying gratitude...

I did the exact same thing once. Cleaned it up a little, but nothing drastic. Expect minimal results. It's the GIGA principal. Garbage In, Garbage Out.
