  1. Is the Philips DVP 642, the Cyberhome 300, both or what else? The only shortcoming may be the Macrovision.

No you don't want the CyberHome CH-DVD 300. I had it lasted 6 months and broke. The power supply blew up. It was too late to get the free warranty service. To get it fixed I had to pay the $40 service charge I didn't want to pay the charge so I am stuck with the non-functioning 300. Some one reccomended Philips I guess it is good but you don't want the CyberHome it is junk. It worked great and played a lot of stuff was region free and NTSC conversion but didn't last long.

My Standalone is still the Cyberhome M212 I bought 4 years ago. Excellent standalone, outdated of course when you compare it with todays solutions.

I don't know... We talking about less than 100 euros here. What you expect at that price? Perfection?

I've had a Cyberhome 300 for 8-9 months now. Nice machine for playing anything. I have better ones too.

  6. Forgot something. When purchasing the Cyberhome 300, you had better to get it from the Sears by adding $6 for two years of free replacement at price of $34.95. So, the Philips DVP 642 is the best buy in 2004. Do you agree?
