If you are in the market for a portable DVD player, check out the Magnavox MPD820 (sold at Amazon and Best Buy for $350 - regular price). I bought one a couple of weeks ago and it plays DVD, DVD+-R, DVD+-RW, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, SVCD, VCD, MP3, JPEG, DivX and XviD. I have tested everything except for the DVD-R/RW and SVCD. So far it has played everything I have thrown at it, including DivX and XviD! I haven't had it long, so I can't speak for the battery life yet, but so far so good!!
