  1. ok iam converting pal svcd to an ntsc svcd using tmpgenc when doing this does it really matter if I use svcd (ntsc) or svcd (ntscfilm)? Either way I can still choose all right settings on svcd (ntsc) like 3:6 pulldown, 23.976 fps (internally 27.97fps) etc. So does it really matter or do I specifically have to use a certain svcd setting when converting pal to ntsc?

  2. It's as simple as this

SVCD NTSC(29.97fps): American standard for "real" movies
SVCD NTSC film(23.976fps): American standard for animation movies, no CG movies

Use SVCD NTSC film(23.976fps) and in advanced check do not framerate conversion.NTSC film(23.976fps) is the standard for most hollywood films while NTSC(29.97fps) is mainly for sporting events and home brew captures.
